Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Extreme Fatigue, Itching And Weight Loss Side Effects Of Vitamin Overdose?
I have been taken off all vitamins for 4 weeks. After developing on and off temperature on and off itching and extreme fatigue and showing negatives on all tests my doctor took me off B C and D. Every test was negative. Also I was losing weight. That was one week ago, Symptoms have lessened except for getting tired easily. Could I be allergic to a vitamin filler?
Hypervitaminosis usually occurs with the fat-soluble vitamins A and D. Rarely vitamin B3 (Niacin) and vitamin B6 in very high-dosage can cause hypervitaminosis but symptoms usually rapidly subside with the withdrawal of vitamins supplements. Since it has not subsided even after 4 weeks, we need to look for some other cause of your symptomatology. For this, you need re-evaluation by a physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Are Extreme Fatigue, Itching And Weight Loss Side Effects Of Vitamin Overdose?
Hi, Some of the symptoms you referred to such as fatigue, weight loss, muscle weakness (getting tired easily) could be due to Hypervitaminosis D. You can go for serum 25 (OH) Vitamin D level to confirm.
