Viagra only has an effect when it is in the body and it does not have an effect when it is not. While it is a vasodilator and causes flushing, and can have drastic effects combined with some blood pressure medications, its effects occur only when it is in the person (12 hrs at most) and not when it is merely in the bottle on the pill shelf.
Blood pressure medicines, hot days, alcohol, exercise, some psychological states are some of many things that cause flushing.
