Are Fasting Blood Sugar 71 And After Breakfast 160 Normal?

I am 28 weeks pregnant now and taking Dimet 500, twice in a day since second month. My doctor told there is a sign of PCOS, and that is why she is prescribing Dimet. Now my fasting blood sugar is 71 and after breakfast(1 hour) is 160. Is there nything to worry? Do I need to take insulin?

Dear user , you must be on insulin. fasting is fine but 1 hr post breakfast sugar of 160mg/dl in pregnancy is high. it should have been <120mg/dl. your doctor is brave to keep you on dimet. ideally you should be on 3 insulins a day. check your sugars all post meals. post breakfast, post lunch and post dinner and let me know. regards!
