Are Fibromyalgia, Polymyalgia Rheumatica And Bronchiaectises Related?

i was diagnoised about 15 years ago with fibromyalgia, and just recently with polymyalgia rheumatiaca, and i also have a lung condition called bronchiaectises, are these diseases somewhat related? i am currently seeing a rheumatologist at uab, birmingham, al. my problem has become so debilitating the pain is all over my body. so far the meds perscribed hasn t helped much can you give any sugestions?

I can understand your concern.
The conditions you have mentioned have immunological basis. So they all might be connected but till date there is no syndrome which includes all three of them. These need research before stating common etiology.
I advice you to consult immunologist and discuss about these.
And treatment options for bronchiectesis are inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), chest physiotherapy, deep breathing exercises, mucolytic, expectorant drugs and adult Pulmonary vaccines like pneumococcal, Influenza to prevent recurrent respiratory tract infection.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these therapeutic options.
