Are Headache And Diarrhea Normal While On Optifast Diet?

I just started the Optifast diet because I am obese and trig are 1902. I have had my gall bladder removed in 2007 and have suffered from bile salt diarreha for 3 years. Just wondering I am on day 2 of the optifast diet and have gotten headaches and still have the diarreah just liquid. will the headaches go away after a while and beacuse i am not eating food will the diarreah be managable as well?

Hello. When gallbladder is removed the recommendations are to avoid fasting & very low calorie diets.

Excessive amounts of fat should be avoided at any one meal (when eating normally).

Have you tried any anti diarrhea medications? Optimally increasing fiber after gallbladder removal in the presence of diarrhea.
