Are Headache, Vertigo, Fever And Vomiting Due To Virus Infection?

My six year old daughter has an extreme headache, vertigo, high fever and vomiting for 24 hours. She is not able to walk, drink, or take medicine. She still seems reasonably hydrated, but I know this can not continue. What is the chance that this is a virus or something more serious?

Hi there,

The symptoms she is having are indicating for a virus. However, first, should know if she has consumed any new food prior to the symptoms start.

Furthermore, I'd like to know if she is having other flu-like symptoms:
- runny nose
- cough

I'd suggest to get her checked by pediatrician first to exclude other serious problems like pneumonia.

Take good care at keeping her well hydrated :
- give plenty of water/tea/juices
- give her Oral rehydration salt

Wish fast recovery!
