Are Itchy And Sore Labia Minora With Small Bumps Filled With Puss Symptoms Of Yeast Infection?

Dearest Doctor,
I have been feeling itchiness and soreness on my Labia Minora and have been having symptoms which, after researching, seemed like yeast infection, since I also had a thick white build up around my vaginal entrance. That is now gone, and I have suddenly started with the more than usual discharge and small bumps/warts around my labia minora. Just recently, I noticed a bigger one and squeezed it. By next morning, I squeezed it again and pus came out.

I have had soreness and bumps/warts before the aforementioned symptoms. Please let me know what you think it is.

Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.

I can understand your anxiety with regards to the genital infection you are suffering from. I will try my best to guide you through it.

Your condition could possibly be due to:

1) Herpes simplex

2) Molloscum contagiousom

3) Hidradenitis supputativa

4) Genital warts

5) Bacterial vaginosis

6) Vaginal candidiasis.

to pin point the exact cause, we need to know the nature of discharge, if it is foul smelling and a local examination of the genital.

I would recommend a per vaginal examination by a gynaecologist. A pap smear can be taken along with the grams stain for the vaginal secretions. As per the cause you can be given oral antiviral/antibiotic/ antifungal/ cryotherapy/ scoop excision. A test for HIV should also be taken as a screening test.
