Are Itchy And Swollen Arm Post Shoulder Replacement A Cause For Concern?

My husband had a right shoulder replacement on Wednesday afternoon. He was sent home with very little information. His right arm is extremely swollen today (50% bigger than normal) and feels very taut. It is not hot to the touch but it is somewhat itchy. No numbness or tingling. Should we be concerned?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, just wait for few days because it could be post surgical even and if the swelling is persistence then it need to be rule out for lymphedema and for that you have to see the surgeon again till the keep the condition under observation hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
