Are Lack Of Concentration, Forgetfulness And Anxiety In A 55-year-old Symptoms Of Stroke?

Hi, I am female, 55, worked as a litigation paralegal for over 30 years, lately, I have trouble concentrating, remembering, focusing, and staying on track. I have been taking Paxil for anxiety for at least 18 years. I am worried that I am about to have a stroke!

Hello,

I don't think this is the signs of brain stroke. Since you have concentration difficulty than we need to take an MRI and workout with the medicine based on the report of the MRI and blood test. Now you are 55 and there might be menopause so hormonal changes might have taken place as well. Exercise will help improve the overall health and also the concentration difficulty. But the cause of the concentration difficulty will be in the higher centres of the brain and needs an MRI which you have to take it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
