Are Muscle Cramps And Twitching Sensation On The Legs Caused By Pinched Nerves?

I have leg muscle twitching and cramping. This happened a few years ago, went away, and is back. It seems to be worse when I lie for a long time (I can go to bed fine and wake up twitching or cramping) or when I walk for long periods of time (my lower back gets tight with these symptoms). Could this be related to pinched nerves?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It might be due to nerve impingement.

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
