Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Nausea, Dizziness And Headache Side Effects Of Advil PM?
I ve used Advil PM, in the recent past to help get a full night s sleep. However, recently I tried to stop taking Advil PM (1 pill) at bedtime. I had severe side effects which I believe were from my two night without any Advil PM. Is this possible? Side effects from stopping use of Advil PM I experienced were nausea, dizzy, extreme headache (migraine). Since, this experience I ve gone back to using Advil PM in smaller and smaller amounts to very slowly remove my chemical dependency on Advil PM. Am I correct in my beliefs?
In fact I really think your are not correct about this. Advil PM is a combination of 2 drugs; Ibuprofen;an aines, wich is used to relief pain and inflamation, and diphenydramine, which is an antihistaminic used to treat alergical reaccions basically but has some sedating effects.
What you are thinking, is that you are expierencing drug dependence. These AINES, unlike Opioid analgesics, do not produce dependency.
In other words, you should not expierence a rebound effect by suspending the drug. Actually, I think your problem has mor to do with Anxiety, or a real Migrain episode, that has nothing to do with the drug you mentioned.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
