Are R Sinex, Combutol And Benadon Effective In Treating Ileocecal Kochs?
Hi I am 36 years old female, weight 43 kgs. Two months back i was diagnised with illeceacl kochs. I was started with medication of R Cinex 450/300, PZA Ciba 500, Combutol 800 and Benaton 40 (half). After a month, i developed drug induced hepatitis and was hospitalised for 4 days. After that my doctor has stopped PZA Ciba and is now continuing only R Cinex, Combutol and Benadon. Is my doctor treating me correctly. Am being monitored continously for my SGOT and SGPT levels after the drugs caused hepatitis. Incase the same returns with R Cinex, what would be final remedy for cure of disease? Thanks
The treatment you are being given currently is used for tuberculosis. And the drugs are used as per your response to the treatment. Some have been stopped due to change in hepatic enzyme levels. Regular follow-ups are advised to see the medicine response and your overall health. Do not worry. If you find yourself in doubt then talk to your doctor he will guide you appropriately regarding the treatment duration and the medicines you are taking.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
