Are Red Rashes On Torso A Side Effect Of Meloxicam?

reaction to meloxicam, looks like blisters (no water, just bumps) with red rash. Started on chest, has moved to thighs and backside, about two or thee weeks now since last pill, but reaction getting worse, not better with time. itches and tingles all the time.

This is due to allergy to meloxicam. Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign body. Foreign body may medicine like meloxicam, pollen, animal dander, dust and insect venom etc. When you have allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that identify a particular allergen as harmful, even though it isn't. Severity of allergy may range from rash to life-threatening anaphylaxis.
Advice
1.     Do not take meloxicam it future
2.     Levocetirizine 5 mg – 1 tablet once daily for 7 days
3.     Dexamethasone 0.5 mg – 1 tablet twice daily for 7 days
4.     Do not scratch too much as it will caused skin damage and infection
5.     Calamine lotion – three times daily locally – will provide soothing effect
