Are Sleeplessness, Fatigue, Lack Of Appetite And Recurring Fever Causes For Concern?

My 75 year old Mother has not been sleeping well for the past several weeks. She recently has been complaining of being tired and fatigued and her diet has also changed as she is eating very little. Over the past few days she has has fevers and chills that seem to come and go and her feet are swollen. I worry there is something more going on. What are some possible conditions and is this a urgent care situation?

Hello,
Yes, it sounds like she is getting an infection. Please get her to see a doctor as soon as possible. She will need an exam and probably some blood tests.
Regards
