Are Sore Throat And Severe Cough Symptoms Of Strep Throat?

I ve had a sore throat for 5 days now. I ve been coughing, but I m not coughing anything up. I could be in the middle of talking, and I start coughing. It s not like an intentional cough. I don t take a deep breath before I do it, it just comes. My voice is also gone. I ve been taking penicillin for 5 days, but it has not helped with any symptoms. Do I have strep? Or is it something else?

Hello,

It can be strep throat. A short course of antibiotics can be stated preferably amoxclv after consulting a physician. Do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.
