Hi, Thanks for asking. In my opinion, Your child does seem to Have learning disability.Poor reading skills and poor spellings are a sign of learning disability. It is quiet common for the problems of learning disability to worsen in the higher grades as the academic levels rise. I would advise you to talk to his class teacher and have him formally assessed for learning disability. Special education in a resource room in the school will help him do better. I hope I have helped you. Thank You.
