Are Swollen And Painful Eyelid Side Effects Of Moxikind CV 375 Mg?

My daughter - 4 years 10 months old and weighing 16.5 kg is being given Moxikind CV 375 mg tablets. Dosage was half a tablet 3 times a day. This is being given to her for an eye infection (her upper eyelid is swollen and painful). The medicine was given for 3 days. Please suggest if the medicine and dosage were correct for the eye infection that she had.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this infection that your daughter has. This medication can be used to treat eye infections. What you should look at is the response to treatment. If she is doing better, then there is no reason to get worried about it. Otherwise, I will suggest that you get her re-evaluated if you think she is not doing better on treatment.

I hope this helps. I wish your daughter well and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
