Are Swollen Face And Hump On Neck Effects Of Cortisone Injections?

I got a spinal epidural of cortizone to relieve the serious back pain I was having as a herniation of several lower discs. After about three weeks I noticed my face being fuller and a hump developing on my neck. I have read that these can be symptoms of the injection. I am wondering if they will go away in time since I only had the one injection.

Hi,
The symptoms you describe will not occur after one cortisone injection. These are long term changes of steroids. If the changes are troubling you, I suggest you see your doctor for investigation.
