Are The Rashes Along My Waist Line And Hand Related To Strep Throat?

Hey, I have an extreme sore throat for the past 3 days and the strep test came back that I was midly positive. I have no other symptoms. I just got put on Penicillin. Although, today I realized that I have a rash all along my waist line and now on my hands but not on the back of the hand. Cannot figure our what is wrong. What do these symptoms point towards?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.

Noted your history of strep throat, rashes on waist line and the hand.
You have severe pain in throat and are put on penicillin.
Then you developed the rashes on the waist and the hands.

These can be due to reaction to penicillin or exenthema due to flu or so.

I would advise you the following:
Stop penicillin and change over to another antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines.
Consult a Dermatologist to have a confirmed diagnosis as to the cause of the rash and get started on antihistamine and steroids if need be .
