Are There Any Complications Associated With Cerclage Procedure?

hi doc, i am a 32 year old female, 58 kg, 5 feet i am 12 weeks into pregnancy with a previous history of cervical incompetance..i am told that i can put cerclage only in my 14 th week considering the position of my placenta(currently 3 cms)..are there any complications during the procedure..during my first one though there were no problems with the stitch. does it depend on the doctors expertise to put a good stitch.
