Are There Any Other Treatments Apart From Taking Oracea For Roscea?
I have roscea (sp) and have been taking Oracea (I believe it to be doxycillin sp) for two years. Are there any other newer treatments for the condition????? It appears that I am having more breaking out of skin over past months and wonder if the Oracea is no longer affective.

Hello,
Metronidazole gel used at night not only reduces the redness but also reduces the burning/coarseness of the skin in the area of rosacea. Also use a good quality sunscreen with 30-50SPF every three hours on the face, as rosacea usually aggravates by sunlight.
Most of the patient feel better by this treatment, and dont have to take oral medications.
