Are There Any Side Effect Of Taking Ambien?

I have been taking ambien for a while now and it has a rebound effect. My Dr. prescribed me Temazepam 15 mg. I can t fall asleep so I took half of an alprazolam 1 mg. Will this hurt me? I am trying to get away from ambien but I really need to sleep tonight.

Benzodiazepines have different strengths. Alprazolam is one of the stronger meds and temazepam is one of the weaker ones.
The stronger ones are more likely to cause dependency.

The one time use of the alprazolam with the temazepam would not hurt but you should not continue to combine them.
