Hi, I just started using the birth control pill this monday--which was also the first day of my period. It is now friday, I decided to switch to the mini-pill and am now wondering if there would be any side effects such as spotting or extending my period if I would stop taking them as of right now.
Hi, yes, you might experience spotting or even a withdrawal bleeding. What is the reason that you decided to change. Mini-pills or Progesterone only pills usually recommended to women who breast-feed or had side effect of birth control pills. You need to take this everyday at the same time for maximum efficacy.
