Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking AKT And R Cinex Together?

Since I was suffering Lymph node on my neck, I had taken AKT 4 for 3 months, AKT 3 for 2 months and taking R Cinex for the time being by doctor's instruction. Unless I take R cinex some days, Can I replace taking AKT 3 for only few days. Will it be side effect or something irrelevant? Thanks in advance,

Hello
You took AKT 4 for 3 months , as described by your doctor , AKT3 for 2 months ( rifampicin, isonex & ethmbutol ).
Your doctor advised R-CINEX for remaining period for treatment ( rifampicin+isoniazide ).
As you noted that the strength and difference is only of ETHAMBUTOL 800 mg . If you use AKT 3 it will be worthless ( because ethambutol was only for stipulated period ) .
However , you can use ethambutol for another 3-4 months without any side effects ( as you already took it for 5 months (3 months in the form of AKT 4 , while 2 months in AKT 3 ).
It will be useless ,if you take it for another period and also it will produce extra side effects as:retobulbar neuritis, w/reduction in visual acuity, constriction of visual field, reduced renal clearance of urates.
However these side effects are rare, so need not to worry ,but in your case Rcinex is a sufficient dose , so WHY use extra medicine ( ethambutol ).
Hope this will help.
Good luck.
