Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Ramipril?

Hi there,
I am 32. sSarted taking Ramipril 2 week ago for hypertension. Started with 2.5mg for the past 2 weeks and increase to 5mg since yesterday. I exercise regulary, run about an hour daily. I had 1.5hours badminton session yesterday. I could feel that my energy level plummet since yesterday after the badminton. Could this be the Ramipril pills I am taking?

Hi welcome to HCM.
Ramipril is not associated with any disturbances in the energy metabolism. The probable cause of energy plummet in your case could be due to prolonged physical activity of 1.5hrs.Minimizing the duration of physical activity to 45 min -60min can improve your metabolic energy levels and feel good hormones.Ramipril is relatively free of side effects. In few cases it is found to cause persistent dry cough and serum electrolyte disturbances. This drug should not be used in case of coexistent renal disease.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
