Are There Any Side Effects Of Water Softener?

HI , i m a female aged 33yrs . i get hard water in my house which is why i have hair & skin problem . i wntd to know can i use water softner ? & are there any sideeffects of water softner . Or are there any other solution to hard water problem . thank u .

Hi

Soft water is better for certain dry skin conditions such as eczema. Softened water feels silkier and makes hair softer and easier to manage. Water softeners work by removing the minerals (calcium and magnesium) that cause the hardness, the process is called ion-exchange.Hence water softener can be used provided the sodium content remains below 200ppm.
