Hi,
Welcome to HCM!

Yes, a person can grow upto 18-20 years of age ,before skeletal growth stops. Once that has happened, a person cannot increase his/her height.

Since you are 17, there's still scope for your height increasing.

If I were your treating doctor, I'd adice -

1. Good balanced diet.
2. Daily exposure to morning sun.
3. Stretching exercises.

Some pills that you may have come across in advertisements to increase your height are harmful and will cause you more harm than good. Hence, I'd advice you not to take them.

Hope your query is answered. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.

With regards
Dr. Sridhar
