Area On Neck Gets Sore. Unable To Diagnose. Diabetic. Cause?

I have an area in the fold of my neck that gets really sore at times and goes away. Well this time it has a bad sore that was infected all of thr doctors I have seen can not seem to give me an answer one says it looks like a cyst another says it is something he sees in women a lot but he does not know what it is or why it is so common in women. I am a diabetic by the way and would really like to find out what is gaining on

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are a diabetic .
Sheer mention of diabetic , will not yield any interpretation.
So please mention the size , nature, and type of infection of sore area.
If possible attach a color photo of effected area with query.
However in diabetic patient this type of bad sore may be due to infection in the skin .
May be folliculitis,
pyoderma,
Cellulitis.
Also mention type of diabetes, age ,from how may times this disease.
