Artificial Replacement For Right Toe

hello doctor am ARUN PRAKASH by march 11 2010 i have been met with an accident...... the details of the discharge summary they gave me is as follows.....DIAGNOSIS.....near total amputation right 5th toe at ppx shaft with avascularity......PROCEDURE.....debridement and closure of right 5th toe at metatarshal head level.......my question is can i go for an artificial replacement

Hi,Arun,thanks for query.Normally artificial implant for this are not available.In normal case this loss does not lead much of functional impairment.Still if the scar or something looks bothersome to you,please take advise from a plastic surgeon who can help you with this.What ever has been done is fine.
