Baby Has Continuous Vomiting. Domstal Drops, Lanzol(Jr)tablet Prescribed. Reason, Domstal Baby Drops Or Domstal Suspension Drops?

Hi, My kid is 5 weeks old, he is continuously vomiting since last 2 weeks. My Doctor prescribed me Domstal drops four times a day along with Lanzol(Jr) tablet twice a day. There is a confusion, do I need to feed Domstal baby drops or Domstal Suspension drops? In case these medicines didn t work for 1 more week, if not reflux what other problems we could expect?

Hi
Your child is looking like having Gastroesophageal reflux and inspite of domstal and lanzol they will throw. Give small feeds frequently and hold the child in vertical position for 15 minutes and burp after each feeding. Domstal baby drops contains 10mg per 1ml and domstal suspension contains 1mg per 1ml so according to prescribed dosage you give the medication. Most of babies reflux will subside by 6 months of age. if the child passes urine adequately and weight gain is good , activity is good nothing to worry and other problems are less likely.
