Baby Having Hernia, Low Hb Count. Does It Affect Growth, Brain Development?

Hi ,i am mother of twin boy babies of age 22 months ,1st baby s HBS count is 10.5 but he won t look like anemia ,he is active and good,does it effects his growth and brain development & also he is having the herinea problem because of this problem he is having hb count less plz suggest and 2nd baby s hb coun0000t is 11.5 is this ok.

Appreciate your concern.
At this age normal Hb is 10.3--12.4
Your first twin;s Hb is on lower end of normal range at this age.
Though you have not given which hernia he has ,common hernias do not cause low Hb.
Only rare hiatus hernia can cause anaemia.
Slightly low Hb per se will not affect his growth & brain development unless he is also iron deficient.
Iron deficiency is diagnosed by looking at blood film, red cell indices & ferritin levels.
If you are too anxious ask your pediatrician about these tests. even if diagnosed iron deficiency is easily treatable.
You are right, the second twin has definitely normal Hb.

Hernia problem doesn't affect hemoglobin.

Hemoglobin levels usually are related to intake of food, especially Iron, Folic Acid and Vit B12. If there is adequate intake of these, and there are no other medical problems, then Hemoglobin should be in normal range (between 12-14 gm%)

Please ensure that food rich in iron like Molasses (gud), Banana, Apple, nuts etc are given. Your doctor will be able to prescribe and give instructions for iron and other multivitamins needed to improve it.
