Back Pain In The Tailbone If Sitting For A Long Time, Painkillers, physiotherapy Didn't Help. Suggestions?
sir,iam 24 years old male,i have a back pain (pain at the tail bone, which prolongs trough my right leg) from last 7 months (from dec 2011),taken some pain killers and consulted some physiotherapist too,but still not cured completely ,i still feel the pain when am driving or if i sit for long time ,please help me with your advice
Seems you are suffering from coccydynia. Have you ever got hurt or fell from height ? If the pain is worsening day-by-day, then its better to consult an orthopaedician. He might advice you to go for an intial xray screening of your tail bone.
Usually coccydynia is self resolving. Using doughnut cushions - available in orthotic shops is advisable for 3-4 weeks whenever you are sitting. Leaning forward while sitting usually helps in reducing the pain.
Two wheeler driving will exert more thrust over your tail bone and will delay in recovery.
Hope this answers your query,
Regards
