Bad Odour From Vagina After Having Unprotected Sex. No STD. Possible Reason?
Hi, I'm in a relationship for a while now and everything is ok except for the fact that I keep getting a bad odor from my vagina every time we have unprotected sex. I have no STD's that I'm aware of and he says that he is clean. He had a vasectomy done over 10yrs ago (so no baby planning here). what could be the cause of it?
Most probably your problems are related to vaginitis. I would suggest to do a culture of vaginal swab to truly identify the causative and get the best treatment for you.
You should not wash your feminine organ when going for the test and your OG specialist is doing the swab for you.
Until the results are in (usually they take up to 3 days), you can
- take some vaginal douche (market available without prescription);
- keep a good local hygiene,
- wash your organ immediately after having sex;
Once the results are in, you should go for oral and vaginal treatment together with your partner. Although it might not be a STD, it can be carried from one partner to another (although males rarely have true symptoms).
Hope it helped!
