Began Taking Nuvigil For Sleep Disorder. Getting Headache, Racing Heart, Insomnia And Diarrhea. Side Effect?
Hi! That would be cool. I just began taking Nuvigil for sleep disorder. At first, it seemed to help, but then I would get bad headache, racing heart, and insomnia, but due to such extreme fatigue and the positive results of drug I tried again by taking only half dose. I had great results with that for 2 days, but am now having explosive diareah,. Could that be a reaction and what then? Thx!
Nuvigila consists of Armodafinil and it is a drug with stimulant like action. It is a good drug which improves drowsiness, poor attention and concentration. It is commonly used in patients of narcolepsy, depression and other sleep related conditions. As it is a stimulant drug it is known to cause headache, palpitations, insomnia etc side effects. The effects are seen more during initial stage of therapy. You have reduced the doses but again you developed the symptoms. Best you can do is to wait for few more days as side effects will develop tolerance and if you are not able to tolerate them then consult your psychiatrist again.
Thanks
