Bitten By Dog. Abrasions, No Puncture, Painful. Washed Using Soap Water, Alcohol, Neospirin. How To Cure?
Hi. Dog bite mid-calf. Abrasions, no real puncture. About a 4 inch diameter swollen area. Painful to touch the swollen area. I've washed, soap & water, alcohol, and neosporin. Happened about 8-10 hours ago. Still swollen, painful about a 6, doesn't seem to have any musculature/tendon involvement. Good to go, until I see Dr tomorrow or next day?
As there is no puncture, there is no cause of worry. I see you have taken good wound care also. You can take a pain killer (ibuprofen) for pain relief. But otherwise you are good.

Was the dog a pet and was he vaccinated? If not it is essential to get an anti-rabies post-exposure prophylaxis. Get Well Soon
