Bitten By Dog Years Ago. Having Shortness Of Breath And Dry Mouth. Symptoms Of Rabies?

Hello Doctor,
I am 31 Year Old Male, from Vadodara.
My name is Karan,
When i was 10 Years Old dog bitten me on my leg and there is blood flow from my leg.
I didn't taken any medicine for Rabies as i don't want to go thru painful injection treatment so i didn't tell anybody in family.
Now i have some symptoms of short of breathes and dryness of mouth, not control over mind.
what to do?
is it rabies symptoms ? it can be develop after such long period?
please answer me, thank you very much

Mr. Karan I can understand your concern but do not worry, it is long gone since you have bitten by dog, it is not possible for rabies to show clinical sing and symptoms after such long periods, you just forget it, the dog who bite you might not having rabies infection, even if you want to clear your doubt you can go for a PCR test for antibody of rabies, this is the only way we can clear our doubt and I am 100% sure this test will come negative, have nice day.

It is not possible for to get rabies 21 years after exposure.So no need to worry about that.It can be related to some thing else.Have a physician consultation.It can be due to a common viral fever.Hope this may help you.Thanks
