Bitten By Pet Dog, Swollen, Applied Antibiotic Cream. Should I Get A Tetanus Shot?
Hello Dr. Mintz, our 12 week old german shepherd puppy was just playing with me, and one of his teeth broke a vein on the top of my arm , in which small amounts of blood came shooting out, as I was leaning over, I quickly put pressure on it, rinsed it, and put antibiotic cream and a bandage on it....it has swollen just a bit...should I be getting a tetnus shot here, or just monitor this situation. HELP. Julie
