Bleeding after intercourse is not normal until and unless all the possible causes have been ruled out.
Causes are as follows.
1] Abnormal growths (such as polyps or fibroids) on the cervix or in the uterus: These growths can be found out on ultrasonography scan.
2] Abnormal cells of the cervix (possibly precancerous cells): For this you need to do PAP smear test.
Risk increases with multiple sexual partners, sex before age 18, childbirth before age 16, or a past history of STDs. Treatment is usually cryosurgery or conisation.
3] Infection or inflammation of the vagina, uterus or cervix: chlamydia, trichomoniasis, candida albicans. Need to take complete treatment to prevent recurrence of infections.
4] Malignancy (cancer): PAP smear is required to diagnose it.
5] Trauma to the vagina or cervix
So to make sure, bleeding is not serious you need to consult gynecologist.
Take care.

Dr. Neelam.
