It is normal to have spotting or bleeding due to hymen rupture after coitus for the first time. Some women have spotting, some bleed for 1-2 days. However, if bleeding continues for more than 2 days it is better to get clinically examined.
Hymen rupture does not need any treatment. It heals by itself. If there is any swelling or inflammation of the genital area along with spotting or bleeding, it can be due to any infection, injury or trauma.
She can take analgesics to get rid of pain, if symptom persists for more than 2 days she may need antibiotics and blood test too rule out sexually transmitted infection. Adhere to hygienic conditions, take care.
