Hello, Thanks for posting to HCM, There are certain asanas or poses that should be avoided during the menstruating phase as they could put additional pressure on the abdomen and thus increase the bleeding. These poses won’t harm you but could definitely increase your discomfort. Some of these include: Inversions Unsupported back bends Free-standing poses: Padangusthasana Garudasana Utthita Parsvakonasana Malasana Ardha Chandrasan Natarajasana Tadasana Utkatasana Anjaneyasana Regards. Hello Mehrahoora, Since you have asked this query to alternative medicine section, I am answering. Thank you for posting your query to Healthcare Magic. Your periods should come normally and regularly. If it does not come so, it means you have some constitutional problems. Hormones that regulate your periods are all controlled again by higher level areas of brain . Brain is again under the influence of your mind. All these processes are decided by your genetics. Therefore if you think that you can bring about regular and normal periods by doing or undoing exercises or by taking or not taking some chemical drugs, you are wrong. Your dysfunctions not only in the period aspect, but in several other aspects not mentioned in the query can be corrected by such treatment that acts in the genetic and constitutional levels. As a Homoeopath, I can confidently suggest Homoeopathic treatment for you. In Homoeopathy, your period problem is not treated but YOU are treated and cured. Once you are cured, all your health problems including your irregular and abnormal periods will be corrected. Therefore my advice to you is to approach an expert Homoeopathic physician at the earliest. If you so desire, I can help you with right Homoeopathic treatment. But for that I need a lot of information about YOU. I can even send to you a case receiving format on request in which you can enter your case and forward. After studying your case I will suggest your curative remedy. Hope you are satisfied by my answer. With best wishes, Dr C. J. Varghese, Homoeopath, drcjvarghese@gmail.com,
