Blisters On Legs, Sore Nose After Taking Tinasal Tablets For Fungal Nail Problem. Healing Period?
I have been taking tinasil tablets for a fungal nail problem for 2 months, I have developed large blisters at the top of my legs that are extremely sore, my nose is also very sore and bleeds when I blow it. I stopped taking the tablets on Saturday and wondered how long before they are out of my system and these side affects go away?
Tinisil is the trade name for an antifungal medication called terbinafine.
Some persons may ,as in your case, experience different skin reactions with this medication. In addition to the withdrawal of the medication, you may need additional treatment for the blisters on your leg. Topical or oral steroid therapy may be needed. It would be best to visit a dermatologist for assessment.
In terms of the elimination of this medication. The half life is 36 hours, the half life of a medication is the time it takes for the amount of medication in the system to decrease by half.In general it is thought that it may take 3 to 4 half lives for a medication to be eliminated completely.
I hope this helps
