Blisters On Vaginal Lips, Allergic. Used Douche And Conditioner While Intercourse. Suggestions?

am terrified. I have been married for 35 years and recently my husband died of cancer. We hadn't had sex for at least two years. I found someone new and had relations twice since last week. I used a douche and some type of conditioner for vaginal comfort after the first time. Now I have discharge and burning with actual blisters on my vaginal lips. I am allergic to many things and am wondering what is wrong. He is clean no stds. and obviously I would be too. Help what can I do. I tried vagisil cream and it burns.\

Hello,

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

There are plenty of causes for vaginal blisters. Some common causes are
1. Sexually transmitted diseases like herpes simplex.
2. Allergy to substances as you suspected.
3. Poor nutrition

But the most common cause is still sexually transmitted diseases like genital herpes.
As you have the recent history of sexual relationship, it may be possible.

It is not necessary to have active infection of your partner to cause the sexual transmitted diseases.

As far as herpes infection is concerned, the health and immunity of the host is the thing which determines the active disease in the host.

Thus i advise you to consult a dermatologist and have his opinion regarding the blister.

Hope this helps.
Please reply for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
You could be allergic to the douche and the conditioner.
also to the latex in a condom if you used one.
You should avoid using any local gel / cleanser / soap etc.
Just clean the area with lukewarm water while having a bath.
Do not rub / touch / handle the area too vigorously.
use a lubricant while having intercourse, and preferably avoid intercourse till the blisters heal.
you can use aloe vera gel or simple cold compresses for relief.
Please consult a gynecologist if the blisters do not resolve, as specific infections like herpes need to be ruled out.
take care.
