Blood Pressure 130/100. Is It Dangerous?

What is to be done for a person having a blood pressure of 130/100? How dangerous is it? If someone has found out recently that his blood pressure has risen to 130/100 in 6months from 130/90 and is increasing per year what needs to be done immediately?
