Blood And Pus Discharge From Lump In Crotch. Is It A Boil ?

Lump in the crease of thigh and crotch has been seeping for months My 30 yr. old wife has had a lump in the crease of her inner thigh and crotch for at least 4.5 months. It started out similar to a boil it was red, painful and easily irritated the lump seemed to be very deep under the skin or very thick. It eventually popped and it has been seeping a glue like puss and blood off and on ever since. It will start to heal and act as if it is drying out for a couple of days and then it flares up again and the process repeats itself. . It has now turned a deep crimson almost purple. Just recently she noticed another spot coming up on the opposite thigh. She has had these lumps or (boils?) come up off and on since she was a teen. But has never had one last this long. I have tried to convince her to go to the doctor but have been unsuccessful so far. she has been to the doctor for this problem before and they tell her that its a boil. But they have never taken a culture to test. Any info is greatly appreciated!!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for query,
It seems that your wife might have chronic lymphadenitis in the groin.
It is also possible that there may be infected sebacious cyst.
Consult surgeon and seek his advice.
Ok and bye.
