Blood Clots In Legs, Swelling, Severe Pain. Had Hysterectomy. Done Ultrasound. What Is The Solution?

I had a hysterectomy on August 6, 2013 and now my upper right front of my leg is swollen. It just started to swell the last week. My legs, since the surgery, have pained me severely. I had an ultra sound of my legs for blood clots and was told that there was not any. But they didn't check the area that is swelling for blood clots. The doctors that we have seen have not been able to give us any real good explanation for the swelling or the pain in the legs.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling and the clot formation in the legs is commonly seen after a major surgery like hysterectomy. The color doppler scan of the limbs and the affected area will help in the proper diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
