Blood Hormone Test Shows High Progesterone. However Doctors Not Prescribing Dupbaston. Reasons?
Hello, im 30 years old. Not pregnat and I dont use any contraceptive. My blood hormon test:
Prolactin level is 48.8 H ng/ml
Testosteron 53.87 ng./ml
Estradiol E2 243.2 pg/ml
Progesteron 20.85 ng/ml
17- OH Progeateron 3.4 ng/ml
Doctor priscribes me: Spirolactone 25 mg per day for 3 month also Dupbaston (dydrogesterone 10 mg) from day 14 to day 28 each month for 3 month.
My worry is: If my progesteron is high why doctor priscribes me Dupbaston? I visited 2 doctors and both of them say the same. Im new in Iran and I dont know if I should start my treatment.
