Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for query.
There are many causes of coughing out of blood like TB, COPD, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, heart causes, ENT causes, A-V malformation and idiopathic.
With TB there are usually low grade fever, weakness, anorexia, weight loss
But before coming to any diagnosis i will suggest you to atleast have a chest x-ray (PA view) to find out any lesion. If there is sputum production you should have sputum smear examination for acid-fast bacilli for two consecutive days. Consult a pulmonologist and get locally examined. If palpitation, paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea is associated with it then chances of heart diseases are increased. So primarily consult a pulmonologist and take his opinion.
Thank you.
