I just went to the bathroom to do a poo and when i wiped my bum there was bllod on the paper. I had a look in the bowl and there was no poo but a glob of blood and mucus the size of a teaspoon. Should I be concerned?
Im 32 year old female, 173cm tall and weigh 69kilos. this hasn't happened before but i do have a history with hemroids
Hello, Thanks for the query H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities , these includes. 1 Hemorrhoid as you are previously having history of hemorrhoids , so chance of blood may be due to hemorrhoids.Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon. 2 Fresh blood as you stated may be due to ulcer in large intestine . Diagnosis can be confirmed by colonoscopy . 3 Bleeding disorder , get in blood examination for bleeding and clotting time . In my opinion consult a surgeon and get his opinion as physical examination will evaluate the diagnosis. Good luck. Dr. HET
