Blood In Urine Test, Itching Around Urethra. Having Bladder Problems. Suggestions?
My doctor said that there was blood in my urine test for my physical... not enough for me to see. She rechecked 2 weeks later and it still tested positve for blood. She wants to retest in a month. I am having some itching around the urethra opening and assume these two are associated. Itching is the only symptom I have. Any ideas what it may be? FYI: I am a 55 yr old female, with a little trouble with bladder control (before the itching) at times.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some irritation in urethral opening due to urinary tract infection.
Blood cells might be due to sore urethral opening.
As there are no other symptoms, nothing to worry.
Take plenty of water.
Keep local part clean and healthy.
