Blood Tests Showed Elevated SGOT, SGPT, Cholesterol, Fibrinogen, CRP, Immunoglobulin E, Positive Epstein Barr Virus. What Treatment Should Be Taken?
Hi there, I went for my blood test on the 05/07/12 and below are my results (those which are higher then normal) My SGOT/AST = 105 , SGPT/ ALT = 88,cholesterol = 211, Fibrinogen = 5.0, C-Reactive Protein - 9.9, Epstein Barr Virus = Positive (21.8), Immunoglobulin E = 173 I really appreciate your help and assistance. Thank you
EBV Positive in many normal individuals as well. let me know why did you get these tests done. Did your doctor order them just because you went for an annual physical ? Do you have complaints.
You should be slightly concerned about the rising SGOT and SGPT. They seems to be 3 times the normal values.
EBV viral infection is just symptomatic and no specific treatment. You just need to keep personal hygiene. Keep away from sexual intercourse.
